Central Italy, the land of poets, saints and artists, is only a short trip away: the surrounding area gives you the chance to visit ancient villages, churches and the famous Casentino hermitages which enchanted Dante Alighieri and Ludovico Ariosto, and which provided refuge for Michelangelo Buonarroti and St Francis of Assisi.
