Sport and activities in the nature.
Anyone interested in sport and outdoor activities can take advantage of the many local riding schools which also organize excursions along historic paths surrounded by the wonders of nature or you can take part in the horse-riding events at the prestigious Arezzo Equestrian Centre.
In spring and autumn kayak and canoe courses are organized along the banks of the river Arno which provided the background to Leonardo’s famous paintings.
For those who enjoy trekking the ideal area is the “ balze” (crags) along the “ strada dei Setteponti”,the road from Loro Ciuffenna to Reggello, a fascinating itinerary of geological interest, or the cool paths of Pratomagno which at 1600 metres offer a wonderful view over the Casentino and Valdarno valleys.
